that.
It started with a
copywriting class at the Boston Center for Adult Education. Having
ditched the idea of law school, what else was I going to do with a BA
in Philosophy from Wellesley? I wrote menus for a restaurant chain
and postcards for a chamber orchestra.
I moved to New York, then
Hollywood. I took my menus to a marketing VP at Universal Pictures and
was handed a writing assignment: taglines for a movie poster. For
years I wrote copy for film and TV, until NBC hired me to produce what
I wrote.

as cable and premium cable networks. I've won Promax and Key Art awards. Yes, I've worked on consumer product and non-profit campaigns, too. In my spare time between midnight and six a.m.,I've done improv, stand-up, sketch comedy and
co-written a musical in development. Ballet, swing dancing, travel, skiing, golf and astrology are a few of my other passions.
